SAVES responded with the Skaneateles Fire Department to a garage fire on E. Genesee St in the village on 4/14/2010. SAVES provided Firefighter rehabilitation while on scene. There were no injuries.

On 3/3/10 at approximately 7:30 AM SAVES-1 and SAVES-2 responded with the Skaneateles Fire Department to a reported structure fire on Albring Rd. It was reported that the fire department encountered a basement filled with smoke and a fire that was extinguished quickly. The Owasco Fire Dept. and Mottiville Fire Company assisted at the scene. The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department and Rural Metro Ambulance (Auburn) also assisted at the scene.

SAVES responds to fire at High School

SAVES responded to a reported structure fire at the Skaneateles High School on 1/4/2010 at around 7:18 PM. SAVES treated one firefighter and provided rehab to firefighters from several departments from Onondaga and Cayuga counties. SAVES was assisted by Rural Metro Ambulance from Auburn. The fire produced extensive smoke throughout both the middle and high school and took several hours to ventilate. The fire was caused by a problem with the boiler.

 321/Stump Rd 12/18/2009

On the morning of 12/18/2009 SAVES, Skaneateles Fire Dept., Mottville Fire Company and MAVES responded to a report of a serious accident at 321 and Stump Rd. The first fire chief on scene confirmed serious injuries with entrapment, a Medevac was requested. Both Skaneateles and Mottville extricated patients from separate vehicles with significant damage. Two injured patients were transported to Syracuse hospitals via ground ambulance. A third patient was transported by Jordan Fire Dept. Ambulance to Auburn hospital, the Medevac was not utilized. The accident was investigated by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and the NY State Police.

SAVES, Mottville Fire Company, Skaneateles Fire Department and Skaneateles Police responded to a reported Kitchen Fire in the village of Skaneateles on 10/28/2009. SAVES is activated on Structure Fires or suspected Structure Fires to provide Firefighter Rehab. The Kitchen fire was quickly extinguished with no reported injuries.

SAVES, Mottville Fire Company, Skaneateles Fire Department and NY State Police responded to Clapp Rd. and Franklin St. the morning of 9/15/2009 to a reported dump truck rollover. Arriving emergency services found a commercial dump truck rolled over with the operator out of the vehicle. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle was removed by the operator and assisted in clean up by the Town of Skaneateles Highway Department.

SAVES, Skaneateles Fire Dept. and the Mottiville Fire Company responded to Rt. 321 and Old Seneca Tpk. on 8/8/09 just after 8:00 AM to a reported car motorcycle accident.

Rt. 41A and Benson Road 9-15-08 

The Skaneateles Fire Department and SAVES Ambulance responded to a reported vehicle accident at West Lake Road and Benson Road in the early morning hours of 9/15/08. The Fire Department and SAVES were assisted by the Onondaga County Sheriffs Department, OCSD and the Skaneateles Police Department. There were no reported injuries.

6-19-2009 SAVES and the Skaneateles Fire Department responded to West Lake Rd. near Rt. 359 for a 1 car motor vehicle accident. SAVES and the Fire Department were assisted by the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department.
