June 2011:

We did get your last packages. Sorry it's taken awhile to write back we have been in and out of commo blackout a lot lately. Things other than that are very busy and hot!!! We had 2 more promotions today (Sparks and Miles are now SPC). We were instructed to take down our Facebook page last week. Hopefully we will get a more functional Company page and we can start adding pics again. Thanks again for the continued support.

“Your packages arrived today, and the family [platoon] was very excited (our Adopt-a-Platoon was the first one to send a package!!) All of us are in some part of Afghanistan, not everyone is at our FOB yet.... but hopefully soon. We will definitely send some pictures then. Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers.
